Player Guidelines

Dress Code

Attire – We expect all of our Tour Members to dress in a way that respects the host club and fellow competitors. Boys – Are expected to wear collared shirts that are tucked in at all times. Girls – May wear sleeveless shirts, but they must have a collar. Shorts and skorts are permitted and they must be worn at an appropriate length. Golf Specific non collared shirts are allowed, if they are consistent with the golf industry fashion and design. Hats and visors must be worn with the visor facing forward at all times and are required to be taken off upon the entry of any indoor facility at the host club. Cutoff and denim shorts, tee shirts, tank tops, short shorts and jeans are all considered unacceptable attire.

Pace of Play

Keep up with the group in front of you. If the group in front finished the hole before your group has put the flag in the hole you are currently on you are considered to be out of position. If for some reason you are unable to keep up with the group in front of you follow the guidelines below;

  • Par 5 – 17 minutes
  • Par 4 – 15 minutes
  • Par 3 – 11 minutes

Play ready golf. While playing partners’ are hitting their shots, you should be at your ball determining yardage, lining it up or deciding which club you will use.

  • 1st Offense – Verbal warning
  • 2nd Offense – Individuals will be put on the clock to reflect 45 seconds per shot
  • 3rd Offense – Individuals or the entire group will be assessed a two shot penalty

This will be done at the discretion of Tour Officials.

Yardage Measurement Devices

Players are permitted to utilize yardage measurement devices, including GPS. However, none of the devices are allowed to be slope and gradient enabled.

On/Off Course Behavior

At all times Pukka Junior Tour members are expected to act respectfully.  This means NO;

    • abusive language or club throwing
    • disrespecting host club staff members, fellow competitors or Tour officials
    • mistreatment of the golf course

While we are visiting Tour sites we must fill our divots, repair ball marks and rake bunkers. 
Any vandalism to a hotel or golf facility or any other behavior that is not fitting of a Pukka Junior Tour Member will be in direct violation.

Alcohol, Drug and Tobacco Use

The use of any of these substances on or off the course is a violation of the Performance Pledge.

Advice

Any advice during tournament progress that may enhance or hinder a player’s shot the selection of the club or suggestion of swing adjustment not given by designated caddie is considered a violation of the Performance Pledge, under USGA Rule 8. Any communication with spectators or family members that are not the designated caddie may be misconstrued as advice; this also applies to those speaking in their native language. After a verbal warning, players will be assessed a two stroke penalty if family members are within ten yards of a player.
