Ranking System
The Pukka® Junior Golf Tour members will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard and our point leaders the year ending in December 2010 will be able to gain access to AJGA events through Performance Based Entry (PBE).
Major events are open to all PJT members once exemptions are processed, but weigh heavily in points for boys ages 13 to 19 and girls ages 12 to 19. Competing in major events will allow a tour member to gain major points towards making the All-Pukka® team and qualifying for an AJGA PBE.
The Top 10 Pukka® Point winners in each age division at the end of the season (Last event in December) will be named to the All-Pukka® Team.
GolfWeek
The second major of the year held at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, FL from June 12-13th will be a GolfWeek ranked event.
Our Pukka Tour Championship to be held in October will boast automatic exemptions into the GolfWeek Invitational Championship for both the boys’ and girl’s overall winners. Winners must have played in at least 2 Pukka Tour events prior to the Tour Championship to qualify for this prize.
Boys 16-19 Point Champion – 1 Tournament Exemption
Boys 13-15 Point Champion – 1 JAS Tournament Exemption
Girls 15-19 Point Champion – 1 Tournament Exemption
Girls 12-14 Point Champion – 1 JAS Tournament Exemption
Tournament exemptions do not guarantee a junior into an event, but they do help with status/priority for getting accepted into our tournaments. The JAS tournament exemptions for the younger age divisions help with getting accepted into our Junior All-Star (JAS) tournaments that are for 12-15 year olds. In order to be eligible for PBE, you must compete and finish in 6 PJT events.
